AFTER LEAVING THAT ROLE
I spent almost 10 years honing my skills as eCom business owner at Birdynumnum Design Co.
This was my first Startup and I enjoyed working on this biz when my kiddos were really little. It gave me a creative outlet and the freedom to fit work around our schedule.
My next Startup was Sunny the Caravan the sweetest vintage caravan Glamping Business. Yes, I renovated it too! And yes, I documented it all on the gram @honey.iboughtacaravan
It was so rewarding and it was #so #much #fun. I loved it. I sold that business to focus on my freelance design work in web design— which was another dream of mine for many years. And here I am talking to you!
So how did I get into the web design business?
I do get asked this quite a lot! For me, it actually started way back in the late 90s. I was working at one of the country's most forward-thinking Law School (at the time).
I worked on content creation, information architecture and editing for the school's very first website. Before websites were really a thing. This was the time when the internet was just emerging in Australia.
I loved it, and I learned so much from my time there. My job involved website maintenance, project management, copywriting, event management, student advising and online course administration.
Looking back, it's incredible to think about how much I've learned since those early days. But the core skills I honed back then – content, structure, and clear communication – are still essential today!

you'll usually find me pottering in the garden, hanging out with the Kiddos or DIY-ing something.
I love getting creative any way I can whether that's restoring furniture, creating art or whipping something up on my trusty old sewing machine.
This little cutie ✨ Miss Honey Blossom✨ is never far away, she's my little shadow. And look at those eyes, I mean...🤍
And there's always coffee involved. Or nothing much gets done honestly.
