How long will it take?
I will get your website completed and published as quickly as possible. I estimate a 3-4 week turnaround, providing I have all of the information I need from you!
How much input will I have?
Working with a freelance web designer means you will be part of the decision-making process as much or as little as you want. And it doesn't have to be complicated. #pinkypromise
How much will it cost?
I know when you are looking for a designer to create a simple website you want to know how much it's going to cost. I offer fixed pricing so there are no nasty surprises for you! I will provide a full quotation before I commence so you know what the cost will be.
What is hosting and why do I need it?
Websites are hosted or stored, on special computers called servers. When Internet users want to view your website, all they need to do is type your website address or domain into their browser. Without hosting, no-one can see your website! So yes you need it.
What is SEO? Explain it to me like I'm your 60-year-old uncle.
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation. It's the name given to the things we do to OPTIMIZE your website in a way that helps it to be found by search engines (like GOOGLE). It's super complicated and somewhat secretive (as nobody really knows the secret to how to rank on the top of Google). But there are some basic rules to follow and settings to implement to at least get started.
More complicated SEO requires an SEO expert who would work on your site on an ongoing basis.
What about site updates + aftercare?
I will build your site on a third-party platform such as WIX, Shopify or Squarespace (depending on your needs). This enables you to take complete control of making updates quickly and easily (if you want to). You will have complete ownership of your site which means you have full control. I offer optional training sessions at the end of the project to show you the basics on how to make updates and you will be on your way! Wordpress site packages are coming soon too #staytuned.
If DIY is not for you, aftercare packages are available.
